Double Vie (English translation: A Double Life) was originally published in French. I read my the English translation copy that I got my Netgalley (thank you!)

Rose: A Double Life (Double Vie) was originally published in French; I read the English translation of this graphic novel, published by Dupuis (and the English translation by Europe Comics).

This novel was illustrated by Valérie Vernay and was wrote by Émilie Alibert and Denis Lapière.

We follow the main character Rose, who has the ability to travel outside of body. She has to use this ability of hers - something which she has always hated because everyone else has - to solve the murder of her father.

I really enjoyed the supernatural and mystery aspects of this novel; it's something that I haven't seen (or heard about) before.

However, I did feel unsatisfied with the ending! Which is such a shame considering this was such an enjoyable read!

This graphic novel is only a mere 58 pages. Yes, that's right, 58 pages.

I felt like more detail could have been given, which is why it is the length that it is. I want to know more about Rose. I want to know more about her life prior to the beginning to this narrative. I want to know more about the relationship between Rose and her father. I want more backstory and detail!

The plot also flowed a tad too quickly for my liking. Perhaps this was because there was no subplot, which meant that we were only focused on the main narrative, giving the impression that it occured quite quickly.

Would I read the next two volumes of this series?
Yes! I would definitely read the second volume. I will decide whether or not to read the third depending on how I find the second.
